My Opinion on Books that have been made into Movies

Hi Guys! Thanks for visiting this blog and post. This post will contain a few books which were later turned into movies. There are a few books series which are going to be mentioned. However, I may have not read or watched all the books/films in the series. There are also a few stand-alone novels which were also made into movies which I will be talking about below.

The first two books to movie comparisons that I will be talking about are very obvious.

The first book to movie adaptation I am going to be talking about is The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. This series contains three books, The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. I gave the first books 5 stars and the second and third book 4 stars. This is the first series that got me really into reading. I watched the first movie which made me want to read the series. I thoroughly enjoy the movies and find that they are great adaptions to the books.

The second book to movie adaptation is also very obvious and I would be stupid not to talk about it and that is the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I have read the first 4 books and have plans to read and reread the series. This seven-book series has been made into an 8 part movie franchise with the last book being made into 2 movies. These movies are very enjoyable and entertaining, however, they don’t include everything that is in the books. This is very common in book to movie adaptations.

The next book to movie adaptation I will be talking about is a stand-alone novel that I just finished. That book is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald which I finished in January. I found both the book and movie very slow. The book was less than 200 pages but felt that it took forever to finish and the movie is like 2 and a half hours long and it really felt that long. I think that this is a good adaptation I just don’t like the story.

The last book to movie adaptation in this post is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. This is another book that I read when I began to get really interested in reading. I have read this story multiple times but have only seen the movie twice. I really enjoy both the book and movie but I find that I have a deeper connection to the book. The book also makes me feel more emotion and therefore I think that I why I prefer the book over the movie.

This list does not contain all the book to movie adaptations ever created but these are just a few that I have read and watched. Thanks for reading my post. Remember to like this post and follow my blog to stay up to date on my content.

Keep Reading, Tara.
