January Monthly Reflection

Hi Guys! In this post, I will be reflecting on the books I’ve read this month. I participated in 2 read-a-thons this month. My NewYearsAThon wrap up can be found here and my Biannual Bibliothon wrap up here.

The first book I completed this month was Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald by J.K. Rowling. I read this screenplay on the 4th of January and finished it in one day. I completed this book as my jar book for the NewYearsAThon. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The next book I completed was Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. I started this book on the 3rd of January and finished it the next day on the 4th of January. This book went towards the NewYearsAThon and fulfilled the challenge of a book made into a movie. I also gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The next book I finished was Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I had already previously read part of this book but stopped. so I continued this book on the 4th of January and finished it on the 11th. I finished this book as part of the NewYearsAThon for the book that I meant to read in 2018. I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. This book gives me Hunger Games feels and shocked me with the twist at the end.

Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur was the next book I finished this month. I started and finished this book on the 12th and was another book I finished in a day this month. I read this book as part of the Biannual Bibliothon to complete the challenge to read a book in your favourite format but least favourite genre. I gave it a 3 ½ stars out of 5. I am planning to reread this book when I am older to better connect with it and then I may give it a higher star rating.

The next book I finished was The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I had also previously read part of this book before putting it down. I continued this book on the 12th of January and finished it on the 14th. I read this book as part of the Biannual Bibliothon to complete the challenge to read an adult genre book. I gave this book 3 out of 5 stars.

The last book I finished this month was Romeo and Juliet by Willam Shakespeare. I started this book on the 15th and finished it on the 18th. I read this book as part of the Biannual Bibliothon to complete the challenge to read a book with a cover you do not like. This book was a reread and I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

There were two books that I started this month but have not finished. The first book was Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I stopped reading this book because I was debating whether or not to read the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series first. The second book is The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine which I am still currently reading but I know that I will not finish it before the month ends.

Thanks for reading my post. Remember to like this post and follow my blog to stay up to date on my content.

Keep Reading, Tara.
