February Monthly Reflection/Fantastic February Wrap Up

Hi Guys! In this post, I will be reflecting on the books I’ve read this month. I participated in 3 read-a-thons this month. I have decided that since Fantastic February was a month-long readathon to read fantasy and paranormal books that I would just make it part of this post also.

The first book I read this month was Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. I chose this book as part of my TBR for the Fairytaleathon. It completed both the first and seventh challenges. I was actually hesitant to read this book because it was so hyped up by a lot of people. I started this book on the 1st and finished it on the same day. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

The next book that I finished was Rumpelstiltskin by The Grimm Brothers. This book was also part of my TBR for the Fairytaleathon. It completed the sixth challenge. The version of Rumpelstiltskin I read was in picture book format and was only 20 pages so therefore I finished it in one sitting. I did not rate this book since it was a picture book and I wasn’t quite sure or confident in rating it properly. This is one of my favourite fairytales and I was so happy to have reread it this month.

I then read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass from the 4th to the 8th. This book as part of my TBR for the Fairytaleathon. It completed both the first and seventh challenges. This was a reread for me. I still loved it as much as I did the first time. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The next book I read this finished was Winter by Marissa Meyer. I chose this book as part of my TBR for the Fairytaleathon. This book completed both the second and fourth challenges. I read this book from the 1st to the 9th. I rated this book 3 and a half stars out of 5.

The next book I read was A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer. This was the group book for the Fairytaleathon. This book was also on my most anticipated releases post. I read this book from the 6th to the 9th. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars and found it to be a unique retelling of beauty and the beast.

I then finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. I read this book as part of Series Crackdown. I also read this book because it was my New Years goal to finish the Harry Potter series. I read this book from the 15th to the 17th and gave it 5 out of 5 stars.

The next book I finished was Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. This book was the book of the month for the Books With Friends Book club. This book club is run by Books with Chloe and Common Spence from Youtube. A link to the Books With Friends twitter will be linked here. I read it from the 15th of February to the 21st of February.

I then finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling. I read this book as part of Series Crackdown but did not finish it in time. I read this book from the 21st to the 27th and gave it 5 out of 5 stars.

There were a few books that were on my TBR this month that I did not get to read. These are:

  • The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
  • Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
  • The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

Overall, this month I read 8 out of my 11 books that were on my February TBR. I read a total of 3347 pages with an average of 119.5 pages a day. Thanks for reading my post. Remember to like this post and follow my blog to stay up to date on my content.

Keep Reading, Tara.
