Hey Guys! So we are already halfway through the year. This year has gone past so quickly and I cannot believe that we only have 6 months left. The Mid-Year Freak-Out tag has been going around at the moment and I decided to do it. I only answered the first half of the questions from the tag since I felt that I was being a little repetitive. I encourage you all do to this tag also.

Best Book of 2019 So Far

This was a very hard choice. However, I think I am going to have to pick Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I have recently finished this book and loved it so much. This is the first book in the Grisha Trilogy and I cannot wait to continue with the series.

Best Sequel of 2019 So Far

This was hard since most of the books I have read this year have been stand-alones or start of a series. I chose Winter by Marissa Meyer. This is the last book in The Lunar Chronicles. I only gave it a 4/5 stars however, I really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole.

New Releases I Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To

There is a few books which were on my two anticipated book posts which i have not read yet. However, I have chosen two because the read the other books I feel like I need to read other books from the same author. I chose Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan and Sorcery of Thorns Margaret Rogerson.

Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019

There are two books which I am really looking forward to reading. I tend to look forward to series more then stand alones. My choices are Girls of Shadow and Bone by Natasha Ngan and Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi.

Biggest Disappointments

This was another hard choice. Many of the books I have considered as a disappointment have been out of my normal reading genre. One of these books is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I do not normally read classics or adult books. I found this book to be really slow and just did not enjoy it very much.

Biggest Surprise

This was quite an obvious choice for me. I chose Fantastic Beasts – The Crimes of Grindelwald by J.K. Rowling. I loved this book so much however, it was a big surprise to me since I did not really like the first book.

Favourite New-To-Me or Debut Author

My favourite new-to-me author has been around for awhile and I have chosen Leigh Bardugo. As stated earlier, I recently just finished Shadow and Bone and cannot wait to continue reading the rest of her books.

Thanks for reading my post. Remember to like this post and follow my blog to stay up to date on my content. Keep Reading, Tara.
